Most GLP-1 medications are once-weekly injections, and there are now daily oral versions too. Ozempic and Wegovy are semaglutide; Mounjaro and Zepbound are tirzepatide, which acts on a second receptor as well. Ozempic and Mounjaro are approved for type 2 diabetes, Wegovy and Zepbound for weight management, and in practice people move between them.
