How do I mix HCG with bacteriostatic water?

Slowly inject the BAC water down the side of the vial, not directly onto the powder. Gently swirl (don't shake) until dissolved. Common volumes are 1–2 mL for a 5,000 IU vial.

How many units of HCG is 250 IU?

It depends on how much BAC water you added. With a 5,000 IU vial mixed with 2 mL of BAC water, 250 IU = 5 units on an insulin syringe. This calculator does the math for any combination.

What's the standard HCG dose for TRT?

Most TRT protocols use 250–500 IU two to three times per week (500–1500 IU total weekly). The purpose is typically to maintain testicular function and fertility while on testosterone. Your doctor will adjust based on labs.

How long does reconstituted HCG last?

Commonly 30 to 60 days when refrigerated and mixed with bacteriostatic water, depending on the product, so go by the expiry your pharmacy gives you. If mixed with sterile water (no preservative), use within 24 hours. Always refrigerate after mixing.

Can I use a 5,000 IU or 10,000 IU vial?

Yes. Enter the IU amount from your vial label into this calculator. Common sizes are 2,000, 5,000, and 10,000 IU. Larger vials just mean more doses per vial.

What syringe should I use for HCG?

A standard U-100 insulin syringe (0.5 mL or 1 mL). These are marked in units where 100 units = 1 mL. HCG is injected subcutaneously, so a 29–31 gauge, ½-inch needle works well.

How much BAC water should I add to HCG?

Most people use 1–2 mL. More water makes it easier to measure small doses accurately. Less water means fewer injections before you need a new vial. There's no clinical difference in effectiveness.
